Result not found? Check these first
| Message or problem | Usual cause and fix |
|---|---|
| No result for the details entered | Wrong exam type or year. In-school candidates are MAY/JUN; external candidates are NOV/DEC. Re-select and try again. |
| Invalid card or PIN | Serial and PIN typed in the wrong boxes, or a space inside the PIN. Type the serial (letters + digits) first, then the PIN with no spaces. |
| Card used up | A card allows five checks for one candidate. Print or screenshot the result on the first successful check. |
| Portal slow or timing out | Release days are busy. Retry at an off-peak hour; your card checks are not consumed by a page that never loaded. |
Understanding what you see
NABTEB grades run from A1 (distinction) to F9 (fail); a pass in the trade subject plus English and Mathematics is what most polytechnics and colleges look for. See the NABTEB grading system for every grade and its meaning, and the trade pages on this site for the subject combination behind your result.
